Chinese Temple symbolizes the long history as well as the rich culture of china. The temple is regarded as valuable art treasure. The temples have influenced all the aspects of the Chinese peoples’ lives in areas such as painting, sculpture, architecture, folk customs and many others. Chinese temple has a long history of the Buddhism and to worship Buddha. After the founding the republic of china, the peoples’ government had much attention to the temple had was restored several times to date. 

Chinese New Year is a vital traditional Chinese holiday usually celebrated at the turn of the Chinese calendar. It is widely referred in china as the spring festival. Chinese New Year celebrations run from the New Year’s Eve, that is, the last day of the last month in the Chinese calendar till the lantern festival which is on the 15th day of the first month. The festival is the longest in the Chinese calendar. The Chinese New Year is referred to as the Lunar New Year because the calendar is lunisolar. This is the period to honor the deities and also the ancestors.

A good way to celebrate the Chinese New Year is to research. The New Year is accompanied by a belief of a good fortune. Chinese people pray for the good luck in the temple during the celebrations of the New Year. However, your can take fortune sticks and ask a question and get the interpretation from the fortune teller at the temple. You are expected to clean and decorate your home and have a traditional dinner. You are also supposed to offer sacrifice.
Chinese New Year 2013 is the year of the snake. Our display is Chinese temple instead of snake, the color of Chinese temple is red. We have chosen this display because of the importance of the temple.
